Chelsea is a yoga teacher based in the East Bay. Her classes focus on a deep exploration of the body. Chelsea’s classes reflect her commitment to individual exploration of one’s body. Her precise language offers students a pathway for their own practices. Chelsea believes strongly in the mindfulness and clarity that yoga brings for all people and encourages all abilities in her classes. Steeped in the Iyengar tradition, Chelsea’s awareness of subtlety of movement in the asana work offers an accessible route for beginning and experienced students alike. Her classes use a slow rhythm in order to find release and balance within the poses. Chelsea brings the mindfulness practices of Buddhism into her teaching pulling on focused attention and breath control to reach states of grounding and contentment for her students. She has been honored to have studied with excellent teachers such as Tony Briggs, Sabine Kuehner, and Patricia Sullivan. Her practice continues to amaze and humble her.
